Florida is a large state with varying degrees of weather. For the most part, the weather is mild with a great deal of humidity. However, what most people don’t realize is that the state also suffers more lightening strikes than any other state!
Besides lightening, Florida is also a magnet for tornadoes, hurricanes, thunderstorms, and dust. What this means is that inclement weather is a constant for those who are considering moving to the state.
One of the major problems with bad weather is that your expensive items such as cars, boats, recreational vehicles and motorcycles are in constant danger of being damaged or even ruined.
Well, the majority of residents have taken the precaution of building steel buildings or steel carports. A building can be anything from a one car garage to ten and is used to store anything that is considered valuable, while a carport has no sides and is used more as a roof.
But why do they need to be steel? (Visit here for more information! http://www.oseflorida.com)
Simple, steel is stronger than anything else that these structures are made out of. In short, they hold up to any kind of weather, even hurricanes. They are indestructible!
Secondly, they stand the test of time. While a wood building is subject to termites and weather and will need to be stained and painted nearly every year, a steel structure is self sustaining, remaining solid and impenetrable for an average of 25-30 years.
Thirdly, they are much cheaper. Face it, wood is expensive. Steel would seem to be a natural as a higher priced item, however the opposite is true.
So in summary, a steel building is less expensive, last longer, looks better and can withstand the elements much better.
